  • Transition resources.

    Wed 08 Jul 2020

As we come to the end of another school year, this will be a completely different end of term than any of us were expecting. We won't have the usual farewells to children and colleagues, or reflections and celebrations on the year that has just finished.

Transition is both an exciting and challenging time for pupils, whether that be to a new year group or new school. Preparing children for the change that is coming is important.

Transition this year for all children is totally different, with some children being in school and a large part not able to return to school this academic year. Purple mash have put together some amazing resources to help children with transition.

Please follow the link below for all activities-

Our new families, who have children starting Reception in September 2020, will be contacted before the end of the term to arrange a time to visit their new school and meet their class teacher during the summer holidays. All Reception children will receive a welcome pack containing all relevant information over the next few weeks

  • Do you need support?

    Fri 03 Jul 2020

We have been approached by various charities who are offering support for families during these difficult times. The support provided includes emergency food vouchers, assistance for prescription purchases and delivery, support with utility bills and mental health advice/support.

If you need any of the support mentioned above then please contact school next week and speak to Mrs Shipway.

    School Update

Since the 1st June 2020, school has been open for keyworker and vulnerable children, we welcomed Year 6 children on Monday 22nd June 2020 and Year 1 children on Monday 29th June 2020. All children have settled in extremely well and it has been wonderful to see them. Staff are looking forward to welcoming our Reception children on Monday 6th July 2020 – all parents/carers have been contacted today with the relevant information. All parents/carers will be contacted in the next fortnight by their child’s class teacher to see how you and your family are and if there is anything we can support you or your child with. If you would like your child to receive a paper copy of their school work then please do not hesitate to contact their class teacher.

    Reports

You will receive a copy of your child’s report by Tuesday 14th July 2020. There will be an opportunity to discuss the report with your child’s teacher during the final week of term via telephone. The reports will contain your child’s attendance and punctuality up until 20th March 2020. We have created a new format this year and have reported your child’s attainment and progress for every curriculum area.
