Make it count

Following the success of our ‘Building a Bridge of Books’ workshop for Nursery last year, we have introduced a new workshop this year called ‘Make it Count’.

 

This workshop is aimed at Nursery and Reception children and has a number focus.  We launched it with a small group of Reception children and plan to continue offering sessions to our Reception and Nursery children throughout the year. The workshop ran for three weeks and we had activities that developed our skills of counting with accuracy, measuring, estimating, problem solving and using 2D and 3D shapes. 

 

Our final meeting was to celebrate our lovely work and we had a party. We made lovely patterns with our chocolate fingers and coloured ring biscuits and of course we counted them carefully before we munched them all up!!!
