Week 2

Again, we repeated a previous theme and made kites during this session. The children worked enthusiastically gathering the materials they needed. They selected art straws and began using them to cut different lengths to enable them to form a frame for their kite. They demonstrated their creativity and individuality again in their choice of colours and shapes. The children worked confidently with their mums, cutting and gluing and discussing what to use and how to use it. They selected lengths of ribbon and tied bows onto it to decorate the kite. Finally, once again they took turns to discuss their own work and answered lots of questions about estimating and counting how many. We looked at more and less and compared the different kites to do so. Well done once again boys and girls!
