Learning at Home
Dear Parent / Carer
Homework is an essential part of being a successful learner in life. At Holy Trinity Catholic Primary School, we value its place as it helps our children to practise and perfect their understanding, as well as deepen their knowledge, and practise skills through regular use of their on-line learning platforms. Regular practise every day helps to retain and embed learning. Homework also gives parents an idea of what your child is learning in school.
We expect every child to:
- Read every night nights for at least 10 minutes from Reception up to 30 minutes in Year 6 (it not always necessary to read to an adult in upper KS2).
- Practise your spellings daily.
- Learn your ‘multiplication tables’ until you know them by heart.
The most important additional learning that your child can undertake is to read every day, and establish a love of books that will stay with them forever.
If you have any questions regarding Home Learning please contact your child's Class Teacher and they will be able to answer your questions.
Together we will help every child reach their true potential.
Below are all the websites your child has access to and teachers have allocated their on-line learning via these learning platforms:

RE news and resources
During these times when it is difficult for us to pray and conduct worship together, the Archdiocese of Liverpool has put some useful resources together which are regularly updated.
https://www.liverpoolcatholicresources.com/
This link will take you to the prayer resources section and then look at two parts in particular:
1) 'Family Reflections' which is an excellent 'substitute' for Sunday Mass, and
2) 'Family Life' which includes lots of relevant resources to share with children.

As days of isolation turn into weeks, many of us are feeling increasingly uprooted from our normal lives. In a world on lockdown, it isn’t just our routines that are being disrupted, but our relationships too. Thankfully, distance doesn’t have to mean disconnection.
